You are cordially invited to the 1st Pan African Flag Raising at Toronto City Hall Ceremony and Celebration of Emancipation Month. Did you know that The Slavery Abolition Act was passed on Aug. 28th 1833. This Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom abolishing slavery throughout the British Empire. It did not come into force until the following year, on 1 August 1834.

So as we conclude Emancipation Month we are focusing on the new form of bondage that we need to break free from, Mental Slavery. We can do it.. the power resides in us, this moment in history will mark when we traded our pity for power.

After the flag raising celebration and ceremony we will have discussions regarding Self-identity, Self-worth, Self-reliance, and Self-improvement.
