The second annual Toronto Undergraduate Jazz Festival is a family-friendly event
happening on Saturday, September 10th at Mel Lastman Square and the North York Civic
Centre. With three outdoors stages, free indoor workshops in the council chamber, local
food & market vendors as well as a trade show event, this festival is bringing together the
musicians of today and the JUNO Award-winning artists of Canada!
TUJF is the first festival in Canada to headline young jazz artists and unite them with
their JUNO Award-winning mentors in order to create paid performing, networking and
developmental opportunities. As a federally incorporated non-profit, this event is
sponsored by the City of Toronto, TD Bank, Yamaha, KIA and other names to bring over
140 musicians together to present music from decades of jazz innovation with FREE
admission. This event is also supported by the Toronto Arts Council and SOCAN.
