Although we don’t see much of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan together on the big screen, the two often appear in commercials together. The audiences continue to love their chemistry even after ages. That apart, the two have often spoken about each other and their films in public. So when Jaya Bachchan was asked about her opinion on her husband’s latest release 102 Not Out, the veteran actress turned politician was more than clear in stating her thoughts.
Initially, when the question about the thoughts on 102 Not Out was directed towards her, Amitabh Bachchan was quoted saying in reports that his wife generally doesn’t speak about his works. However, when prodded further, the megastar caved in and revealed about what his wife had to say about the film.
In reports, Amitabh mentioned that his wife Jaya Bachchan thinks that 102 Not Out has the potential to shine more than any big-ticket films including something as awaited as Avengers: Infinity War. She also reasoned further adding that this Amitabh film is different from everything that is around and that is what will work for the film.
Jaya Bachchan had actually sort of predicted the fate of the film since she saw it before the audiences. The actress was a part of the special screening that was held for the actors’ family and friends.
Whether it has bet the records of Avengers we don’t know but we definitely know that 102 Not Out is performing well at the box office. The film, that also brings together Rishi Kapoor and him after a gap of 27 years, is definitely on its way to become one of the most appreciated films this year.
102 Not Out, directed by Umesh Shukla, released on May 4. The film is based on a Gujarati play that was written by Saumya Joshi.
