Hailing from a film family, Abhimanyu Dassani (son of actress Bhagyashree and Himalaya) will soon be making his Bollywood debut with Ronnie Screwvala’s Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. Paired opposite Radhika Madan, the movie is directed by Vasan Bala set to release in September this year. Even before the release of his debut film, Abhimanyu is extremely popular among his fraternity members for being multi-talented, not just in the professional space but also personal one and that certainly speaks volumes for the young actor.
Interestingly, Abhimanyu’s skill with martial art is also well-known. The talented actor, who is eagerly anticipating the release of his debut film, was quite excited to hone the skill of martial art and started training for the popular self-defence art form two-three months before he gave auditions for his film.
Abhimanyu informs, “I’ve grown up watching Akshay Kumar sir, Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee .. I’m glad that my debut film gave me the opportunity to emulate my childhood aspirations and got to learn martial arts for my character. The discipline it gives you is unparalleled. It prepared me mentally and physically for any stunt I had to perform.”
Besides that Abhimanyu also got himself trained in swimming, gymnastics, yoga, resistance and free hand training, laathi or staff fighting, human anatomy, biology and also studied injuries first aid rehab and recovery for his character in the debut film.
