The Military high command has declared tourism regions of Visayas to be on high alert after the event of twin bombing in the province of Palawan hurting three individuals on Thursday. The security condition update was given to media by one of the military officials.

The spokesperson of the 3rd Infantry Division of the military Enrico Gil Ileto addressed the media and informed that sufficient numbers of military members have been dispatched to tourism spots of the province and will carry out monitoring and intelligence services from these locations. The regions that are under the highest supervision of the military are Guimaras, Iloilo, and Boracay Island which lie in Central Philippines.

Where the military officials are securing the tourism spots of the country, the National Police of Philippine has been assigned to carry out more personalized duties such as chokepoints and monitoring check posts.

Addressing the nation Lleto said, “Your soldiers will continue with its day-to-day peace and security operations to ensure the safe and secure observance of the Holy Week.”

The blasts in the country happened when it is the peak season for Philippines tourism as people pay visit in the long weekend. Various political leaders have called it an act of terror to damage the economy of their country.
