This is first alleged retaliation on Osama Bin Laden’s death by US Navy Seals in Abbottabad.

As per initial reports, twin blasts occurred outside FC training institution in Shabqadar Tehsil of Charsadda as newly trained paramilitary cadets were getting into buses and coaches for a 10-day leave after a training course. They were wearing civilian clothes, police said.

At least 80 people including 65 FC cadets are dead while more than 100 are injured.

Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the attack.

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Khalid Shameem Wynne cancelled a visit to the United States, a military official said, citing the “prevailing environment”.

As Salman Bashir, Secretary Foreign Office, said earlier, every terrorist attack is an intelligence failure. Will there be an inquiry on why the agencies were unable to stop this?
