The Children: A Modern Day Retelling of the Myth of Medea

This play transports the children of Medea away from their mother’s murderous clutches and into present-day New England in the middle of a hurricane. A wildly imaginative world premiere, The Children builds off the Greek myth and imagines Mermeros and Pheres coming of age in an unfamiliar world where they attempt to overcome their horrific childhoods. The play combines Greek tragedy, broad comedy and puppetry to tell a story about how we survive through telling stories.
