USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The Female Eye Film Festival (FeFF) joins forces with Skylar Entertainment PR to present a Live Music Night featuring an exciting and diverse line up of female vocalists.  Heather Hill, Meredith Shaw, Amanda Davids and Patrizia will perform at Cherry Cola’s Rock N’ Rolla Cabaret and Lounge, on Thursday, May 24th, 2012.  The night will be a fundraiser for The 10th Anniversary Female Eye Film Festival, June 20th – 24th, 2012.

This celebration of female talent will begin with a cocktail reception at 8pm where Steam Whistle Brewing will start you off with a complimentary beverage.  Raffle prizes include FeFF All Access VIP Passes, Complimentary Screening Tickets for two (2), Skylar Entertainment CD Pack, One Year Membership to Women In Film & Television (WIFT Toronto) and DOC Toronto, along with other goodies.

Singer songwriter Heather Hill will begin the night of music performing songs off of her just released sophomore album Leuty Station.  Rooted in piano rock Hill captivates listeners with songs that speak to how women survive and even thrive in the face of hardship. Her sound features percussive piano reminiscent of Tori Amos and vocal colours of Jewel and Kate Bush. This album was recorded at Humber Recording Studios and it features a number of co-writers with talented artists: Meghan Morrison, Chris Assad, Orville Heyn, and Alec Steinwall.  www.heatherhill.ca

Meredith Shaw and her Hearts Club Band will kick up the energy with her quirky and playful set of songs from her debut album, Place Called Happy which was produced by Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar, Grady).  The 10-song debut release flips from emotion to emotion within stylistic variations of pop music that take a cheeky Lily Allen approach to the vocal prowess of Adele.  A new music video for "Stars" is set to premier May 8th, while a remix of her song "Acted Badly" featuring Big Sugar’s DJ Friendlyness  is currently at radio.  Shaw is also a touring member of Big Sugar and hit the road for some 50 dates last year. www.meredithshaw.com/

If the audience is not already dancing, Amanda Davids distinct combination of Hip hop, Funk and Jazz elements with an urban modern production might do the trick.  With an arsenal of instruments including the Piano, Hammond Organ and a powerful three and a half octave soul voice, Davids' style as depicted by her debut eps title Distinguishable In Difference.  From the Urban Funk beats of her first single "Naughty Boy" to the Michael Jackson meets Timberland inspired "Gimme Some" she will keep you entertained.  www.amandadavids.com

This night of live music will feature a rare live performance by Canada’s Rock Soprano Diva Patrizia.  Fusing classical, opera, pop and rock, Patrizia has always been an artist that is hard to define or categorize.  The new collection I Am Patrizia, includes an iconic Queen song "Show Must Go On", a dance pop mix "I Won't Stop Believin'", the famous Carmen aria "Seduction" and one of the most difficult arias ever written Mozart's “Rage, Queen of the Night.”  www.patriziamusic.com
