After achieving financial stability through Prince Harry‘s autobiography and their development deal with Netflix, the couple is reportedly considering a move from Montecito to Malibu.
Although they enjoy the laid-back yet refined lifestyle of Montecito, they feel limited by the area’s wealth and lack of entertainment options. According to a Montecito resident, the couple is interested in relocating closer to Hollywood and the Colony, a gated beachfront community in Malibu that is just an hour away from their current home.
The Colony offers a private beach experience that is unmatched in California, as well as enhanced security due to its celebrity residents. Harry and Meghan have reportedly begun their real estate search in the area.
