Nicolas Cage with his fifth wife Riko Shibata
Nicolas Cage, once again, made headlines as he arrived at JFK airport with his fifth wife, Riko Shibata, and their baby daughter, August. Despite looking more like a stressed-out father than a glamorous movie star, Cage’s jacket was a nod to his celebrity status.
In an interview with the LA Times, Cage acknowledged that five marriages might seem like a lot, but he feels that he finally got it right this time. The actor has two sons from his previous marriages, Kal-El, aged 16, and Weston, aged 31. Cage met Riko while filming the movie “Prisoners of the Ghostland” in Japan. After the shoot, he returned to Las Vegas and found himself missing her, so he proposed to her over Facetime. She accepted, and the rest, as they say, is history.
