Rihanna doesn’t mind going overboard when it comes to fashion, but she wants her kids to have normal lives. She’s hosting a no-frills Beverly Hills bash for her son, RZA’s first birthday on May 13.
A Casual Get-Together
According to a friend, Rihanna waited until the last minute to call her guests and personally invite them to the casual get-together. Although it’s being held at a friend’s large home in Beverly Hills, practical Rihanna isn’t going overboard. She’s a very hands-on mom, so she and her personal chef are preparing a traditional Barbados meal of flying fish and cou-cou for her guests. They’re also baking the cake and decorating the place themselves with streamers and balloons.
A Normal Childhood
Although they could easily hire a party planner and spend a lot of money like the Kardashians do for those kids’ birthdays, Rihanna and ASAP Rocky are determined to give their kids a normal childhood, despite their fortune and fame.
