Here’s a pair of characters you might not expect to see at the Cannes Film Festival. Iggy Pop and filmmaker Jim Jarmusch could easily be chatting about the drugs they used to do back in the 80’s, as they prepare for a discussion about their new documentary Gimme Danger. Directed by Jarmusch, the film documents the rise of Iggy’s punk band The Stooges, starting in the 60’s. We were surprised to see that Iggy has one built up shoe – he says one leg is a couple inches shorter than the other and his reckless stage antics didn’t help it. Iggy says his drug days are over, but threatened to appear at the red carpet gala later with no shirt.
