Akshay Kumar is flying high because of his successful year. With 2016 being a great year for him, Akshay is making sure we get to see more of him next year as well.
The speculations were rife that Akshay Kumar was in talks with Excel Entertainment production and was keen to sign their next untitled project. Well, we can now confirm that Akshay has bagged the film. Earlier this morning, producer Ritesh Sidhwani informed that Reema Kagti will be directing the film. Akshay, too, gave a hint talking about the exciting news they can’t wait to share with the fans and hinted that he was working with Excel.

Akshay Kumar has finally shared the first look poster of his next film titled Gold and even gave out some details about the film. It is sports based film set in the year 1948 when India made history by bagging its first ever Olympic gold medal as a free nation. In 1948 Summer Olympics, the Indian field hockey team defeated the British team to win the gold medal for the country. As clear from these details, Gold will be based on the life of the Indian Hockey team which achieved this feat.
Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, the film titled Gold is all set to hit screens on 15th August, 2018.
