Singer-actress Sophie Choudry who gained fame for her singles and remix albums recently tried something new. While singing comes naturally to her, Sophie decided to do playback singing for popular music director duo Vishal – Shekhar.
The film in question is the rom-com Befikre which is set in Paris. The songs of the film required someone fluent in French language and Sophie Choudry was happy to help. In her own words, Sophie revealed that Vishal called her one day to ask if she is well-versed with French. When her response was affirmative, he further proposed if she can sing for Befikre. She not only agreed but decided to go to the studio soon to record it.
Further talking about the experience, Sophie Choudry was thrilled to lend her voice for a Yash Raj film. In fact, she also added that besides the song, she also sang for the background score along with writing some lyrics. The songstress described the number as upbeat one with a fun vibe.
Directed by Aditya Chopra, Befikre stars Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor in the lead. The film is slated to release on December 9.
