Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor made their debut as actors with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya in 2007 and soon after that the two went their separate ways. Amidst several speculations about the bond souring between the actors, now we hear that Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor have finally decided to let bygones be bygones and will be coming together for a film.
After a span of 10 years, Sonam Kapoor will be sharing screen space with Ranbir Kapoor and will be a part of his next, the Sanjay Dutt biopic. The actress will be seen in a brief appearance, a cameo of sorts in the film which has Ranbir playing the role of the Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt. However, the details of her role are being strictly kept under wraps. We hear that Sonam will be seen in the role of a Bollywood actress and one of Sanjay’s former girlfriends from the industry but no such details have been divulged by the makers.
On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor has completely dived into the preparations for the film and wants to get Sanjay’s nuances right. He has started to undergo training for a complete transformation. In fact, it is being said that the actor will have to learn everything about Sanjay Dutt right from his walking style to the way he speaks, the way he thinks, in order to emote him onscreen.
The biopic based on the life of Sanjay Dutt is helmed by director Rajkumar Hirani and the shooting for the same is all set to commence in 2017.
