Aanand L. Rai, who happens to be one of the prolific film makers of Bollywood, has now joined hands with film maker Anurag Kashyap, who has been signed for two films under Aanand L. Rai’s home production ‘Colour Yellow Productions’.
Kashyap who has deep admiration for Rai and even spoke highly of his last film, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, will now direct two films for the producer. Interestingly, the first film will move away from Kashyap’s signature off-beat and edgy flavour and instead will be a small-town love story.
Sources reveal that the film will be shot in Bareilly, Varanasi and Lucknow and will go on floors in February next year. Adds the source, “Anurag will be directing a love story set in a small town and has been traveling extensively across Uttar Pradesh, scouting for locations. He finally zeroed in on Bareilly, Varanasi and Lucknow. The film is extremely close to Anurag’s heart since it reconnects him with his roots. The director hails from UP and is happy to revisit the locations he fondly remembers. The cast is underway and they will start shooting in February next year.”
