Sunny Leone

The year 2016 has been really good for Sunny Leone. Sunny is already grabbing the limelight with ruling the music charts with ‘Laila Main Laila’ from Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees. Sunny is once again in news but this time for a different reason.

Sunny Leone has been named as PETA’s person of the year for her dedication towards promoting the rescue of homeless dogs and cats as well as her compassion for animals that are abused and killed for their skin. Earlier this year, Sunny Leone was featured in an ad campaign where she spread awareness about adopting a homeless dog and encouraged people to be an angel to these homeless animals.

Sachin Bangera from PETA said that Sunny Leone’s kindness had proved that she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. He said that PETA is calling on people everywhere to follow her compassionate example.

The past recipients of PETA’s person of the year award include Dr. Shashi Tharoor, former Supreme Court Justice KS Panicker Radhakrishnan, and actors Kapil Sharma, Hema Malini, R Madhavan, and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Back in July 2016, Sunny Leone was named the most searched Indian actor on Google in the last decade alongside Salman Khan. Sunny Leone also happens to be the most searched celebrity on Google for 2016.
