While it is a known fact that the shooting of Judwaa 2 is currently taking place at a breakneck speed, there is another major milestone that is greeting the film. The release of the Varun Dhawan starrer is exactly 100 days away and it is time for the reverse countdown to begin.
“The film arrives on September 29 and that date is just 100 days away. The film should wrap up during next 50 days and then it would be time for the marketing and promotional campaign to bring on the buzz and hype in the 50 days thereafter. These are going to be very interesting times for Varun and his leading ladies Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu,” informs a senior crew member.
Sequel to Salman Khan starrer Judwaa, the film is said to be retaining the chartbuster songs ‘Tan Tana Tan’ and ‘Oonchi Hai Building’.
“Of course, that had to happen and for Varun, Jacqueline and Taapsee it is going to be some fun times indeed to groove to these tunes,” informs our source, “That said, director David Dhawan is getting his vintage touch in place for this sequel which is arriving exactly 20 years after the Salman Khan starrer hit the screens.”
What further adds spice to the film is the fact that Salman Khan would be returning in the sequel as well and one waits to see if it is just for a cameo or a proper special appearance.
“It would be a highlight of the film for sure,” the source adds, “In his upcoming release Tubelight he is playing this innocent man who is slow in his thinking and reactions. However audiences would have their hands full with Judwaa 2 where he would be seen at his naughty best. Along with Varun, there is quite some ‘dhamaal’ which has been planned for their foray together on screen.”
For producer Sajid Nadiadwala, this is indeed a journey down the memory lane as it has a been a couple of decades since Judwaa released and turned out to be a major Hit at the Box Office. Now that he is back with David Dhawan who has also delivered another major success Mujhse Shaadi Karogi for him, it is time to up the ante for Judwaa 2.
“No wonder, the filmmaker is going all out to not just ensure that Judwaa 2 is mounted at a lavish scale (a major schedule of the film was just wrapped up in London), he is also devising a creative marketing campaign around the film which is one of his biggest offerings as a producer,” a source close to Sajid Nadiadwala mentions.
Considering the fact that the family entertainer is releasing on a Friday that leads to the National holiday of October 2 on Monday, Sajid Nadiadwala has managed an enviable four day long weekend for his biggie. With the content promising to be entertaining enough, he is going all out to ensure that next 100 days are perfectly planned for Judwaa 2 before it eventually gets ready to hit the screens.
