From being a part of hygiene related initiatives to talking about sanitation issues, the promotions of Toilet – Ek Prem Katha revolve around spreading awareness and continuing the fight against open defecation. In fact, the leading man of the film Akshay Kumar too has addressed about this menace of open defecation that are prominent in remote rural areas of the country even on social media. And now amidst all of this, we believe that this one quirky gift that the superstar was presented with will definitely add a smile to a lot of people’s faces.
Akshay Kumar recently took to his Instagram page to share a picture of a customized gift presented to him by a ‘friend’ as a part of wishing him luck for his forthcoming release Toilet – Ek Prem Katha. The said gift was a pair of quirky slippers that had ‘Toilet’ ‘Loo-tera’ and ‘First’ ‘Loo-Teri’ written on both the slippers respectively. Posting the picture, Akshay wrote, “How cool are these Toilet themed shoes hand-painted by a dear friend! #CurrentObsession.”
Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, as mentioned before, deals with issue of lack of toilets in a village and portrays the struggle of Akshay Kumar aka Keshav who kick starts the movement of building toilets within each one’s household for the safety of women and children.
Besides Akshay Kumar, the film also stars Bhumi Pednekar, Anupam Kher among others and is slated to release on August 11.
