From a con artist to a rookie, Emraan Hashmi has essayed several grey and male lead roles on screen. But an army officer was never one of them. However, in his debut production, the actor is all set to experiment with the military official role and had even spoken about extensively prepping for the same. His debut production Captain Nawab is now all set to roll and went on floor a day ago.
Although he is not a social media lover, Emraan Hashmi posted about kicking off Captain Nawab a day ago by sharing a picture on his official handle. Along with the clapperboard on the first day of shoot, the actor also gave us a brief glimpse of the setting of the film. It is a known fact that Captain Nawab is set in the backdrop of a Kargil war and the jeep and the other military equipment which are a part of the set will definitely take you back to that era. The actor further stated on Twitter, “And it begins!! .. #CaptainNawabShootbegins.”
From boot camp style workshop to learning to use rifles and guns, Emraan had earlier stated that this is one of the most physically demanding characters he has even trained for. Malvika Raaj, who has worked as a child artist in films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham [younger Kareena Kapoor], has been cast as the leading lady opposite Emraan Hashmi in the film. However, the details of her character are still being kept under wraps.
