Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth is currently in India shooting for the Netflix film, Dhaka. The film is written by Joe Russo, one of the directors of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. The film is set in India and Chris will be joined by the critically acclaimed actors, Manoj Bajpayee and Randeep Hooda. As the nation was celebrating the festival of lights, Chris too joined the festivities with director Sam Hargrave and Randeep Hooda.
Chris Hemsworth took to his Instagram story on Wednesday, November 7, to wish the fans all over the world on Diwali. The video featured him dressed in enthic wear – a purple kurta and pyjama and a tikka on his forehead. Randeep Hooda and Sam Hargrave too joined the festivities in Ahmedabad while dressed in traditonal outfits. He captioned the video, “Happy Diwali to everyone in India and around the globe.”

Chris has already completed a week in India. He shared some of the moments from the sets of the film and wrote, “Week one down here in India. By far some of the most intense action sequences I’ve been apart of and the heat certainly adds an edge to it but damn we’re getting good stuff!! gonna be unreal. The first shot is of our director, the insanely talented @thesamhargrave.”

The Ahmedabad shooting schedule will be of 10 days followed by Mumbai schedule. In Mumbai, two locations Dharavi and Byculla have been zeroed in for the shoot. After that, they will reportedly head to Thailand.
Written by the Russo Brothers, Manoj Bajpayee will reportedly essay the role of an Indian don whose son is kidnapped and is rescued by Hemsworth’s character. Dhaka is an action film and will mark the directorial debut of Sam Hargrave.
