Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone tied the knot in a breathtakingly beautiful fairy-tale wedding at Lake Como, Italy and their fans literally had tears in their eyes as they witnessed a grand happy ending to their beautiful love story. Incidentally, their first film together – Ram Leela completes 5 years today and well, it is safe to say that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s sets were like a love school for this couple. Here is why they are Romeo – Juliet in real life, just like they were portrayed in Ram – Leela.
1: An unlikely match
Like all epic love stories, Deepika and Ranveer are as similar as chalk and cheese. While he is vibrant, colourful and gregarious, she is calm and runs deep. He can’t help but bare his soul to the world and she is his perfect antithesis. He opens her up and she has taught him to stay grounded. Even if, Opposites Attract is a cliché, it is true for DeepVeer.
2: Raw chemistry, both on and off screen
They reprised the role of Romeo and Juliet on screen but off screen too, intensity of their love is palpable. Their differences come together beautifully to compliment them, as a whole. It is amazing how they sustain this volatile, raw chemistry…the idea of it is enough to make even the most cynical heart melt…hopelessly.

While we may call them Romeo and Juliet, Ranveer totally believes in the beauty and beast theory when it comes to him and his new wife. He thinks while she brings on the graceful energy, he is animalistic and raw…which again is so IDEAL in the most romantic way.

There have been instances where love affairs between the leads begin and end once a film gets over. Romeo and Juliet is still a work of fiction but Deepika and Ranveer’s love story has been REAL from day one. She has battled her own demons of depression and the couple has struggled with issues like long distance relationship which led them to drift away a little bit…but love triumphed all in their case and led them to the aisle! Hell no one is every sick of same old love if it has the passion and chemistry like Ranveer and Deepika’s relationship!
