Riteish Deshmukh who is coming out with the sequel to his hit Marathi film Mauli spoke EXCLUSIVELY to Bollywood Hungama about the movie and overall scope of the industry. He was asked if it is true that with right kind of funding and support Marathi will movies surpass the Hindi market to which he said that the competition of the Marathi movies is NOT with Bollywood.

Riteish said, “I will change that particular thing. It is not about beating Hindi box office. Marathi films ko sahi support mile toh they can really grow the market. Competition Hindi films se nai hai. Marathi films ki competition apne aap se hain. Kisiko chota karne ki jarurat nahi hain.”
