Moments after the trailer launch of The Accidental Prime Minister, the viewers across Twitter showered the trailer of Anupam Kher – Akshaye Khanna starrer with love and respect. The fans of the global actor are mighty impressed with his uncanny resemblance to Dr. Manmohan Singh in the trailer of The Accidental Prime Minister.

After much wait and anticipation, the makers of The Accidental Prime Minister released the film’s trailer on Thursday. Starring Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna in key roles, the film is based on the controversial book by Sanjaya Baru. The trailer sees both Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna in top form.

The global actor, who has played memorable roles in his prolific film career, is quite upbeat about the one he plays in The Accidental Prime Minister as he has devoted two months extensively working on his voice modulation so that his character would sound like the former PM of India.

Interestingly, the global actor who looks strikingly similar to the former Prime Minister with the turban and white beard, used to practice 3 – 4 hours daily perfecting his voice that could resemble to Dr Manmohan Singh.

Anupam Kher informs, “It’s a matter of great honour and pride to portray Dr Manmohan Singh who has played a very instrumental role in our nation’s progress. It was quite challenging and one of the most difficult roles I’ve ever played.”

“To understand the nuances, his body language, voice and to imbibe all the characteristics perfectly was a huge task. I tried to source out as much information as possible for my reference which would help me portray the character to the best of my abilities,” the prolific actor adds.
