Last year, in December, badminton champion Saina Nehwal tied the knot with co-player and childhood friend Parupalli Kashyap in a private wedding ceremony at her residence in the state of Telangana. The two players, who will now get busy with Premier Badminton League, later also planned a reception in Hyderabad which was a star studded event with guests coming pouring in from the sports world and Bollywood. Now that they are all back to work, we saw the couple make an appearance on national television as the guests on the comedy show Kanpur Wale Khuranas.

Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap attended the new ongoing show on Star Plus, Kanpur Wale Khuranas, which is hosted by Aparshakti Khurana and features Sunil Grover, Upasana Singh, Sugandha Mishra, Adaa Khan, and Ali Asgar amongst others and also has Farah Khan as a judge of sorts. The two of them not only posed in a giant shuttlecock but also clicked a picture with badminton racquets.

While Parupalli went casual in all black avatar, Saina added colour with her green and pink embroidered ethnic outfit. The two of them also clicked many pictures with the show members including Farah Khan. The latter shared the picture on her Instagram saying, “The love-ly couple @nehwalsaina @parupallikashyap on #kanpurwaalekhuranas chatted about sports, food n Bollywood!! Going by the series of pictures, it seems that the show was loads of fun. While we got to see some onscreen romance of the two badminton players, we also hear that one of the cast members left everyone in splits by picking up Saina’s husband Parupalli.

Coming to the show, in the past, many celebrities, from TV celebs like Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya to singer Neha Kakkar to Simmba superstar Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty have appeared on the show.
