Mumbai: Karan Johar is that producer-director who has been enjoying big success at the outset. He is in the big league of Bollywood and called the big producer –director of the film world. Now the mega producer is bringing Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone together on screen and it is going to happen for the very first time. The couple will be working in a movie to be made under Karan’s home production ‘Dharma Productions’.
He is much famous for launching new pairs in the industry. And his pairing works big time – take the examples of Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma, Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor – all pairing worked high among the cinegoers. Now the luminous filmmaker has brought in the duo of Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. Well, it seems weird as Deepika is quite tall. But the filmmaker will manage the things, as the directors can do this job with ease. You have seen Anushka Sharma working opposite Shahid Kapoor and we all know how tall Anushka is. There are plenty of examples where heroines are taller than the heroes but with camera works and other techniques, the onscreen management is done.
Taran Vir Singh will direct this film which has not been titled yet. Taran is the one who has assisted Ayan Mukherjee during the shooting of Wake Up Sid. Taran is now all geared up to direct his own flick which is scheduled to go on floors by next year.
Deepika is currently busy with the shooting of Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani being directed by Ayan Mukherjee and is the production of Karan Johar. Shahid too is working under Dharma Productions for the first time. Karan had previously offered Shahid Kaal in 2005 but he turned down the offer. Let’s wait if masses like the pairing of Shahid and Deepika.
