Mumbai: Deepika Padukone’s popularity graph is much higher these days with the brilliant success of recently released Cocktail. Even the debutante model turned actress Diana Penty too instantly got stardom and career’s success with the first film. Now she eyes on Bollywood and she would be endowed with good banners’ movies due to this success. Had the movie not been a success, Diana had to face the music to survive in the industry. Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express has been well in news. Khan is working for the first time with Rohit Shetty. The film has been making rounds since long but no actress was zeroed in. Now the sources close to the film say that it has now been done finally.
Deepika Padukone, the leggy and dusky lass of filmdom, has been zeroed in for the lead role opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the film. Earlier there were talks about many babes of Bollywood like Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra but no one out of them got zeroed in. There were even rumors that Shah Rukh wanted Katrina whereas Rohit liked Kareena. But finally all rumors silenced and the babe is out there.
But the official announcement is being awaited by the makers of the film. Hopefully they will soon announce that Deepika Padukone has been finalized for Chennai Express. Deepika had made her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om and now again she will play leading babe opposite him.
The pairing was liked by the moviegoers in Om Shanti Om and now again it will be loved by the masses hopefully. The shooting of the film, as per sources, will begin from September this year. Let’s wait for the official announcement.
