While Sunidhi is a recipient of several awards when asked if she has not received an award for a song she thought she would be honoured, the singer said, "Many songs, but one song for sure I thought would win because people were going gaga over it, it was ‘Dhoom Machale’. But that didn't happen and that's okay."

Further when asked about when song which is her favourite and means a lot to her, she said, "There are 100s of songs. I have a lot of favourites. But I would say that the song which got me noticed and made people feel that they should work more with me was definitely Mast's title song and Ruki Ruki Si and the whole album of Mast because Ramu ji was gracious enough to give me three songs in the movie. It was a big deal for me to get a big break back then". Mast is a 1999 film directed by Ram Gopal Varma.
