USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Legendary star Amitabh Bachchan who was snapped at the red carpet premiere of his debut Hollywood film The Great Gatsby seems to be all the rage. Interestingly though, the megastar who has always maintained a humble demeanor while thanking the makers of the film for promoting his miniscule role in the film, has apparently done the part for free.

In the film, Bachchan will be seen playing the role of Jew, Meyer Wolfsheim. Says the actor, "My role is hardly that of a minute. A year-and-half ago, Baz Lurhmann called me and said he has a small role for me, which he felt was not worthy of me. He nevertheless asked if I would do it and I readily agreed. I did it as a gesture. It is not remunerative. I have not charged anything."

Directed by Baz Lurhmann starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton and Isla Fisher in addition to Bachchan, the film is slated for a worldwide release this month.
