USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Despite being jailed, Sanjay Dutt is trying to do his bit for the Uttarakhand victims. While the makers of Policegiri were keen on promoting the film in Dubai, Dutt took this as an opportunity to help the ones in pain.

The actor, who was recently imprisoned, wrote a letter to wife Maanyata saying that instead of spending the money on promotions, they should organize a charity event and collect funds for the Uttarakhand flood victims. Policegiri producer Rahul Aggarwal, who is impressed with Sanjay's big-heartedness, says, "It's very touching that Sanjay actually decided to collect funds for these victims rather than promoting the movie in Dubai." Adding further, Aggarwal, who is also involved with the Write2Sanjay initiative says, "This is not the first time he has been involved in charity. During Tsunami too, Sanjay had raised about Rs. 2 crores for the victims."

Also being the well wishers of Sanjay Dutt, the makers have plans to screen this film at Yerawada Jail where Dutt is currently imprisoned. Confirming the same, Rahul says, "Yes, we have to spoken to the DG of that prison as well as the Home Ministry regarding a small screening to be held for the Sanjay and his fellow mates in prison. But we are awaiting a confirmation from them."

Policegiri is an action drama, also starring Prachi Desai, Prakash Raj which releases on July 5.
