This year the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards which took place in Macau will be shifting to the United Sates next year. More specifically, the awards function will be making its maiden trip to the US, by hosting the 2014 edition at the Tampa Bay in Florida.
The reason behind this shift is apparently that the organizers are looking at capitalizing on the massive Indian film fanbase in the US. In fact the organizers plan on hosting the event by starting off with an extra ordinary campaign by converting a baseball stadium into a cricket stadium that will feature a match between celebrities and cricketers, during the award ceremony.
Apart from this, next year's award ceremony will also see performances from noted Hollywood personalities.
