Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…A while back, we had reported that Salman Khan who was visibly fed up of the myriad media reports on his 2002 hit and run case, launched a website with the intention of dispelling the rumours. Now we hear that a social activist has filed a complaint against the actor stating that the site (www.salmankhanfiles.com) is in contempt of the court.

In the complaint filed by lawyer Wajid Khan, the petitioner Hemant Patil claims that since the Mumbai sessions court ruled that the actor must be tried for culpable homicide not amounting for murder in the case, the case was still underway and matter sub-judice. Keeping that in mind he questions how could the actor could use internet to spread information about the proceedings..

Further, Patil states that the said case is in violation of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 contending that this attempt of actor may prejudice the mind of court which has not yet delivered its final verdict in the case.

Post this case being filed, when visited, the site seems to have been deactivated.
