While the First Look of the film has been revealed, this isn't going to be a stop gap arrangement by any means. Instead, it is just a beginning as producer Vipul Shah has plans to only escalate and sustain the promotion for four long months.

"Typically the promotion window of a biggie is two to two and a half months. However, given the fact that Akshay's films are released once every three to four months, his fan base was missing him on action. The gap between Boss and Holiday is over seven months and hence the fans started a campaign on social media for the promo to be revealed. The film had started turning hot well in advance and the makers decided to release a full fledged theatrical promo now itself," informs a source.

This is unprecedented because it was widely expected that just a poster or a teaser would be out now with a theatrical promo being unveiled only a couple of months from now. However, with that being done now itself, there is a well laid out promotion and marketing plan already in place.

Confirms Vipul Shah, "That's right. Though our television campaign would break in a few weeks from now, there are many other events and other tools being put together to keep the momentum on for Holiday. It is a prestigious film for all of us. We have to make sure that there is a good platform put into place. You would see and hear a lot more about the film starting now."

With the reactions already pouring in, one common thought is that the Murugadoss directed film is far away from quintessential South remakes that have been bombarding the big screen for last few months. Considering the fact that the original Thuppakki too was very high on the style quotient, presence of Akshay Kumar has only made the film further slick.

"Murugadoss is someone who is very sorted and stylish," says Vipul, "He understands what kind of milieu has to be created and what sort of contemporary treatment a film has to be given. For Holiday, he has only bettered what audiences down South have already seen."

Well, there are four more months for more to be revealed about the film. With the songs waiting to be unveiled, it would be interesting to see how much further has the film traveled in the Hindi version.
