Thankfully, there was ample fun element in it as well that diluted the scare factor that is otherwise associated with ghostly sagas.

"That happened yesterday when out of a sudden, a bunch of 'Ghost Riders' arrived out of nowhere," comments an observer, "As it turned out, these ghosts were the likes of Mahie Gill, Meera Chopra, Jacky Shroff, Chunky Pandey and Saurabh Shukla. Since each one of them plays a ghost from different eras in Gang of Ghosts, it was widely felt that their spooky appearance amidst much fanfare would not just bring in humor to all the clamor at the race course but also aid in bringing added eyeballs for the film."

This is the reason why director Satish Kaushik and his producer partner Ratan Jain were thrilled when opportunity came their way to promote Gang of Ghosts at Provogue AGP races.

"This way, a huge captive audience immediately connected with the film, its theme and of course the cast," a source adds, "Gang of Ghosts is Bollywood's first ghost comedy and a remake of Bengali hit Bhooter Bhabishyat. With the glamour of races and fashion shows already heating up the atmosphere at the event, this sudden appearance of 'Ghost Riders' only added to the fun quotient which left the audiences in splits."

More fun was in store for the audience when the promo of Gang of Ghosts was played for them as well.

Says Satish Kaushik, "There is a track from the 50s and 60s era in Gang of Ghosts and horse racing is synonymous to the larger than life grandeur of the time gone by. I felt that this event was an apt platform for the team of Gang of Ghosts to be a part of. When I was approached with this idea, I promptly gave my nod of approval. It was a mutually win-win situation to be a part of this event".

Added Ratan Jain, "I have been making films for over two decades now and one thing that I realize is that there are so many platforms which are available today to take your film to the audience. Innovation is in and I am glad that now even race course are the platforms for your film to 'run'. Pun intended! I am sure that just like these horses, our film too would gallop ahead at the box office when it releases on March 21."
