The incident in question happened at MA Jinnah Road located in Karachi.

Though the reasons are yet to be known, according to the police officials, two men were injured during this attack but fortunately the rest of the crowd remained unaffected by this sudden attack. As per the police authorities, these two attackers arrived at the crime scene on a motorcycle, threw the hand grenade at the entrance of this theatre named Capri cinema and fled the scene in a jiffy.

It needs to be noted, that during this auspicious season of Eid, many multiplexes and cinema halls located in the country were running full owing to the popularity of Salman Khan and the holiday season. Also, Kick is the only Bollywood movie currently running across the country along with other regional and International releases.

Prior to this, many other single screens and cinema halls have been under the radar owing to protestors resorting to violence for the screening of anti-Islam films. However, the motive behind this attack is still unknown.

Kick is the debut directorial of producer Sajid Nadiawala and the film also stars former Sri Lankan beauty queen turned Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui among others. The film released on July 25.
