Many actors cum producers think that regional cinema offers a great variety of films and some of them have their eyes set on Marathi film industry which is currently booming.

From Riteish Deshmukh to Salman Khan, all of them want to dip their hands into Marathi cinema and the next actor to join the league is Ajay Devgn. Foraying into regional cinema for the first time, Ajay Devgn has decided to present a Marathi film.

Ajay Devgn's production house will be presenting a periodic drama film called Vitti Dandu which is slated to release by the end of the year. Vitti Dandu is a periodic drama which revolves around the triumph of love for the country over attachments for a loved one. This story is about the relationship between a grandfather and grandson and stars Dilip Prabhavalkar, Ravindra Mankani, Yatin Karyekar, Radhika Deore (child artist), Nishant Bhavsar (Child Artist), Shubhankar Aatre (Child Artist), Mrunal Thakur and Ashok Samarth.

The film is directed by Ganesh Kadam under the production name of Rajradha movies, music by Santosh Mulekar and is produced by Leena Deore.

The trailer of Vitti Dandu will also be attached to Ajay Devgn's upcoming Bollywood film Singham Returns, where the viewers would get a glimpse of the film for the very first time. Singham Returns is produced by Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty, starring Kareena Kapoor, Amole Gupte and Anupam Kher. The film is slated to release on August 15.
