Calcutta’s famous Howrah Bridge is a very important element in Dibakar Banerjee’s film Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! In fact, it is seen on the poster image.

The film is set in the same time zone as the birth of the bridge.

Today is the 72nd birthday of the bridge that was constructed on 3rd Feb 1943, during the Second World War. It was never inaugurated due to security reasons.

The team has created the documentary to make people aware about the significance of this bridge.

The team even did a flash mob on the bridge on the song Calcutta Kiss from Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! to celebrate such an important structure and landmark.
