USA: Free $30 Oye! Well, the wait finally ended with Sujoy releasing his new shot film Ahalya.

Ghosh's new Bengali short film Ahalya featuring Radhika Apte, veteran Bengali actor Soumitra Chatterjee and Tota Roy Chowdhury, the short is a thriller based on the mythological character by the same name.

Talking about his film, director Sujoy Ghosh said, "The entire experience of making Ahalya was very challenging yet interesting. For me, both Ramayan and Mahabharat are the greatest books ever and the unending wealth of stories in these two books is undisputed. The story of Ahalya always remained with me because in my younger days I found it very funny what happened with Indra. The curse of Goutam Sadhu has always stayed in my mind but in an amusing way. Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films has given a much needed platform not only to this film but is also paving a way for innovation in filmmaking in India by promoting upcoming fresh talent."

In the film, Apte plays the role of Ahalya, the young, beautiful wife of a famous old artist, who is visited by a dapper police office Indra Sen (Tota Roy Chowdhury) in conjunction with a missing model. While the short film stars off on a slow note, it fast begins to pick up pace for a chilling climax.
