Earlier this year, they were seen together in Sanam Re. Powered by some fantastic music, the romantic flick did reasonably well at the Box Office. Now, Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam are reuniting for Junooniyat.
"The film was incidentally announced exactly a couple of years back," inform our source, "In fact; it was even completed before Sanam Re. Since both films have the same producer (T-Series), it was the latter that was released first. Now that some time has gone by since the arrival of Sanam Re, the makers are set to release Junooniyat on 24th June."
Just like Sanam Re, even Junooniyat is a musical romantic film and is set in North India.
"The shooting has been held extensively in Kashmir, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. Pulkit Samrat plays an Army officer in the film and Yami Gautam enacts the part of a local girl," the source adds.
Directed by Vivek Agnihotri (whose dramatic Buddha In A Traffic Jam is currently running in theatres), the film is expected to showcase the chemistry between Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam quite effectively.
"Speculations around their alleged proximity continue, though none has made a statement in this regard yet," an observer adds. "It would be interesting to see how the onscreen relationship between Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam plays out on screen. After all, back then when Pulkit Samrat had started shooting for the film (in November 2014), he had just got married. In fact, he had to even miss his honeymoon as had to report for the film's shoot."
Will sparks fly on screen? Now, that would be interesting to watch. More so, because, on the same day, Anurag Kashyap and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's violent drama Raman Raghav 2.0 also arrives in theatres.
