One such addition in the latest format is that of Rochelle Maria Rao, who plays the role of a pretty nurse, who is always the centre of everyone's attention.

While many have enjoyed her 'nurse-ing' act, a certain section of people have found that objectionable. And they are the nursing staff from various medical colleges and hospitals in Punjab, who not just staged a protest at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital in Amritsar, but also filed a complaint against Kapil Sharma. If that wasn't enough, they even criticised the show's judge Navjyot Singh Sidhu, who was BJP's Lok Sabha MP from Amritsar earlier.

Speaking about the issue, Raj Bedi (State General Secretary-Punjab Nursing Association) questioned about how Sidhu agreed be a part of a show that demeaned someone's profession. He added that, how can Sidhu laugh at jokes about the medical profession while his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu happens to be a doctor herself.

On the other hand, the nurses, on their part, have filed a complaint against Kapil Sharma and the police have assured them the required action. The nurses also complained that, while they were a part of a dignified profession, they were against the kind of uniform worn by the Rochelle Rao.

Watch this space for developments.
