Several Bollywood personas including the Gen Y brigade have been promoting the forthcoming period thriller Rustom which is based on real life events. Now, Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan too decided to send across his best wishes to Akshay Kumar and the team of Rustom.
Sharing this video on Twitter, Fawad Khan added, "#2DaysToRustom All the best Sir @akshaykumar." Prior to this, Sonam Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Ranveer Singh, Sidharth Malhotra and even superstar Salman Khan took to social media to share videos promoting the film. On the other hand, Akshay Kumar made sure that he responded to the love he received from the industry in the same unique way and for this video too, he responded on Twitter saying, "Wa alaykumu s-salam Fawad. Thank you for the wishes. Love to you and all in Pakistan 🙂 #2DaysToRustom." Based on the infamous 1959 case of crime of passion, Rustom
is loosely inspired by naval officer K M Nanavati case wherein he was accused of plotting and killing Prem Ahuja for having an illicit affair with his wife Sylvia.
Also starring Ileana D'Cruz, Esha Gupta in prominent roles, Rustom is slated to release on August 12.
