Earlier we had reported that Babul Supriyo got engaged with girlfriend Rachna Sharma in a small ceremony but the musician turned politician maintained that his wedding would be a lavish affair. Babul recently tied the knot with Rachna on August 9 and the ceremony saw several prominent politicians gracing it and giving their blessings to the newly married couple.
Amongst them was also our Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi who despite his busy schedule made sure to attend the wedding and also interact with the family. On the other hand, political personas Shashi Tharoor, LK Advani, Digvijay Singh too attended the wedding. In fact, soon after his engagement, when Babul was asked if PM Narendra Modi was attending the wedding, the politician assured that the wedding wouldn't be complete without his presence and that he had even taken efforts to adjust it according to his schedule. Excited about finding love, Babul had previously also revealed that he would be flying to Vatican in Rome for his honeymoon.
Babul Supriyo met senior flight attendant Rachna Sharma on a flight from Kolkata to Mumbai and fell in love with her. After a two year courtship, the two got engaged in June. The musician turned politician has a 17 year old daughter from his first marriage which ended in a divorce few years ago.
