Even though the stunning Lisa Ray is not seen in films very often (she was last seen in the RGV directed Veerappan), she is now all set to take the entrepreneurial jump by launching her first fragrance named 'Lisa Ray Jasmine of India'. The said launch will be happening on September 21, which also happens to be 'United Nations' International Day of Peace'. What really sets Lisa Ray apart from others is the fact that, the sales of the perfumes will be contributed to the cause of Indian farmers.
Lisa Ray will be launching the fragrance in association with a company named 'The 7 Virtues' that is based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia in Canada. The USP of 'The 7 Virtues' is that it sources out the natural essential oils from regions which are impacted by war in an attempt to rebuild through the power of scent.
Speaking about Lisa Ray's association, Barbara Stegemann (Founder and CEO of The 7 Virtues) said, "Drawing on the old saying 'No perfume without Jasmine', 'Lisa Ray Jasmine of India' blends awakening notes of orange blossom, cardamom, ginger, frankincense and myrrh with the exotic Jasmine flower, designed to blend beautifully with any of our fragrances."
Lisa Ray, on her part, said, "Our new jasmine fragrance takes me back to my childhood, where Jasmine adorned temples and decorated women's hair. It acts as a reminder to slow down, breathe and recognize the divine in everyday life. I am humbled to have been part of a project that gives back to the Jasmine farmers of India with the purchase of every bottle."
