Since Sanjay Dutt was released from jail earlier this year, the actor is getting back on track with work and spending time with his family. On Monday, Sanjay Dutt was in West Bengal and paid a visit Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, during a visit to the state secretariat Nabanna in neighbouring Howrah district.
Upon meeting the CM, Sanjay Dutt praised Mamata Banerjee's work and thanked her for supporting him during his troubled days. He said that after what had happened to him in the 1993 incident, Didi (Mamata Banerjee) had supported him. After that, he had always wanted to come to Kolkata and thank her because no one had supported him back then except Shatrughan Sinha and Didi.
Sanjay Dutt further said that as soon as he got the opportunity he came to thank Mamata Banerjee and seek her blessings. He also said that if she ever needed him then he will be around. The politician has invited him for the (Kolkata International) Film Festival on November 11 and Sanjay is looking forward to attending the event.
The actor said that the politician was working on the reformation of jails which is really good. He said that the last time he had visited Kolkata was during the filming of Parineeta. He said that he was surprised to see the transformation in the city and what she has done in such a little span of time.
