And with Katrina Kaif at the helm of things, buzz is that her business venture will be competing with the best of names in not just the fashion world, but also the beauty arena. The latest update on Katrina Kaif is that, she has now been replaced by the cosmetic giant L'Oréal, of which she has been the brand ambassador for quite some time now. While the media screamed with headlines stating Katrina Kaif’s getting into retail business led to L’Oréal dropping her as their brand ambassador as it would have led to clash of interest.

Well, the truth of the matter seems to be something else altogether. As per Bollywood Hungama’s reliable sources, L’Oréal decided to part ways with Katrina Kaif as its brand ambassador as the actress will be launching a new business venture in retail. Hence in order to avoid any conflict of interest with the new venture, Katrina and L’Oréal Paris have mutually agreed not to renew their present contract. Speaking about the same Katrina says, “I have a great relationship with L’Oréal Paris and will continue to be with the brand until the end of the year. We have mutually agreed not to renew the contract since working in beauty retail will entail working with multiple brands. And, L’Oréal Paris, which is the world’s no. 1 beauty brand, will certainly be one of them. I have personally learnt a lot from the brand and worked with some amazing people.” Echoing a similar sentiment, Shalini Raghavan, Chief Marketing Officer, Consumer Products Division, L’Oréal India said, “Katrina shared with us her vision for a beauty retail venture and her passion for this new opportunity was obvious. She is a great spokesperson for beauty and has been a wonderful brand ambassador for L’Oréal Paris since 2013. We wish her every success, and look forward to working with her in her new avatar as a retail partner.” On the professional front, Katrina Kaif will be soon seen in Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos, which has Ranbir Kapoor as her co-star.
