Toronto man Oliver Steve Hernaez arrested for assault
The Toront Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest made in an Assault investigation.
On Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 12:50 a.m., police received a call for an Assault in the Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue area.
It is alleged that:
- a Parking Enforcement Officer (PEO) was conducting general enforcement in the area
- the PEO issued a violation notice to an illegally parked vehicle
- the accused engaged the PEO in a verbal dispute over the parking ticket
- the accused then threw an open can of pop at the PEO, striking them in the shoulder
- the suspect then fled the scene
Oliver Steve Hernaez, 30, of Toronto, was later located, and arrested and charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon
The accused is scheduled to appear at Ontario Court of Justice, 10 Armoury Street, on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 2:30 p.m., in room 204.
