Brianna Warner of Toronto arrested for murder of Jai Parker-Ford
The Toronto Police Service would like to update the public on an arrest made in a homicide investigation.
On Friday, December 16, 2022, at 4:45 a.m., police responded to a shooting at an apartment building in the Lawrence Avenue East and Orton Park Road area.
It is reported that:
- a man had been shot inside an apartment building
- Officers and Medics provided life-saving measures
- the man was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries
- on Monday, December 19, 2022, the man was pronounced deceased in hospital
The victim has been identified as Jai Parker-Ford, 20, of Toronto.
On Saturday, April 8, 2023, Brianna Warner, 18, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:
- First Degree Murder
She is scheduled to appear in court on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, at 10 a.m., virtually.
