It can only be stunners from different jewellery brands created and promoted by Gitanjali, the jewellery company with the longest and closest association with India’s film industry. What’s common between Katrina, Kareena, Neha, Bipasha, and a host of other leading Bollywood glam faces besides their success on the big screen? The jewellery they choose when they want to make a style statement that dazzles — it is from one of the many brands promoted by the Gitanjali group, the company behind leading names in the field like Nakshatra, Asmi, Gili and D’damas.

For the Filmfare event, the darling of the fans, dashing and dynamic Katrina Kaif dazzled in a stunning pair of chandeliers in 18K gold from Nakshatra, studded with 328 diamonds. The sexy Bipasha continued to wow, as she appeared in a pair of diamond haute couture earrings by Gili; a breathtaking combination of woven emerald beads, citrines, rose cuts and diamonds. And charming Kareena Kapoor chose a dangling ruby and diamond studded pair of earrings from Parineeta from Gitanjali Jewels.

All connoisseurs of elegant, chic jewellery will be watching out for what these glamour queens wear this weekend at Macau where they will gather along with so many other well known names and faces from the industry.

Given its close association with the film industry, it’s only natural that Gitanjali is the associate sponsor of this big event, and even as IIFA celebrates a decade of successful existence, Gitanjali completes its fifth year as a partner.

Gitanjali will be showcasing four of its leading brands namely Gili, Nakshatra, Asmi and D’damas at the Fashion Extravaganza along side matching outfits created specially by designers

Wendell Rodricks and Falguni and Shane Peacock.
Special trophies in gold and precious stones created by Gitanjali will be presented to the winners of the ‘Decade Award’ that honours outstanding achievers from the industry. And the evening will reach a heady climax at a late night do hosted jointly by Gitanjali and the Venetian Resort. The evening will a celebration of the close relationship that the group has forged with Bollywood over the last decade and more, ever since it first pioneered a line of branded jewellery in India with the launch of Gili in 1994. During this decade the relationship has strengthened and deepened with a number of leading ladies from the film industry lending their glamourous faces for the Gitanjali brands. Katrina is the face for Nakshatra; for Gili, it’s Bipasha, for Asmi it’s Kajol and Perizaad and for D’damas it is Neha, Celina and so many others.

Says Mehul Choksi, Chairman of the group, “In India, Bollywood stars have the widest mass appeal, making an easy connect with people across regions, cultures, languages and socio-economic segments. For our brands, which also have a pan-India appeal, they are a perfect match. It’s why we have extended our support to all important events of the film industry and will continue to do so in the years to come.”

And as the dazzle of bling teams up with the glitz of stardom, a new hit is being scripted with a wow appeal to match.
