Mutter Chaat 

Ingredients :

1 tsp chaat masala powder

1 medium onion chopped finely

½ ” inch ginger, chopped finely

¼ cup coriander leaves chopped finely

1-2 green chillies chopped finely

1 tsp jeera

1 pinch hing

½ tsp garam masala powder

1-2 cups dried white mutter, soaked overnight

½ tsp red chilli powder

Tamarind chutney as per taste

2-4 tbsp beaten curds

Salt to taste

Method :

For making the sweet & sour tamarind chutney, boil tamarind water with jaggery, salt, red chilli powder, jeera powder & 1-2 crushed flakes of garlic if desired.

Heat a little oil in a wok or pan. When hot, add jeera & hing.

When done add the boiled mutter.

Put in the other ingredients saving a little onions, green chillies, chutney & curds & coriander and mix well.

While serving, top it with chopped onions, green chillies, some chutney & curd,

Also sprinkle some chaat masala and coriander leaves on top.
