Luscious Meat Recipes For Eid-ul-Azha

Eid-ul-Adha is on its way to come. It’s an event of religious obligation. The significance of this event is related to the historical scarifies, that teaches us to share our blessings with the deserving people. People invite their friends and families to treat them with different meat food items. Following are some meat recopies for you to treat your guest on Eid with innovation in your cooking.   

1. Mutton Leg Roast

Ingredients

• 1½ kilogram of Mutton Leg with middle bone cracked and fat removed portion

• 1 tsp of Soya Sauce

• Juice from 8 Lemons 

• 2 tbsp Vinegar

• 1 tsp Cumin Seeds roasted and ground

• 1 tsp Black Pepper Powder

• Salt to taste

• 3 tbsp cooking oil

• 1 cup yogurt

Directions to cook 

• Mix all of the ingredients except the cooking oil, prick the leg of mutton with fork and apply the mixture of all ingredients then leave it to marinade for at least 3 hours.

• Put the leg in a big pan and cover it. Let it cook on moderate heat until all of the juice dries up.

• Add the oil to it and in case it is not tender, add a cup of lukewarm water and leave it covered for half an hour until it is tender.

• Serve it on a plate or dish garnished with fresh onion and cucumber, spoon the remaining sauce from the pan and add on top of the roast pour lemon juice on it. Serve it with plain boiled rice or bread.

2. Pot Roast Beef Fillets

Ingredients

• 2 lbs of Round Steak pieces

• 1 medium Onion sliced

• 3 tsp of Crushed Red Pepper Flakes

• 1 tsp of Ground Black Cumin 

• 1 tsp of Ground Cloves

• 1 tsp of Turmeric Powder

• Salt to taste

• 2 tsp of Ginger Paste

• 2 tsp of Garlic Paste 

• 2 cup of Plain Yogurt

• 4 tbsp of Lemon Juice

• 1 cup of Cooking Oil

Directions to cook

• In a bowl, combine yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, pepper flakes, cumin, cloves, turmeric, and salt. Apply it on beef until beef is evenly coated. Set aside for 2 hours.

• Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Fry onion until they turn golden brown. Reduce heat to low. Place meat in pan, cover, and cook until it is cooked and tender. Continuously check every 10 minutes, and keep adding a little bit of water if required. Pour in lemon juice, and cook for 8 minutes.

• Garnish with fresh salad, fried onion and slice of fresh lemon.

3. Nutty Mutton

Ingredients
 
• 1 kg boneless mutton cubes 

• 400 grams curd

• 3 medium sized Tomatoes in slice 

• 1 cup each of Peanuts, Cashew nuts and Almonds toasted and crushed

• 2 piece Ginger paste

• 500 grams Onions chopped

• 12 Mint leaves 
 
• 1 cup Coriander leaves

• 2 tsp Turmeric powder

• Salt and Chili powder to taste

• 1 cup oil

Directions to cook

• Mix together all ingredients, with the exception of toasted almonds, and foil. 
• Heat the oil and add the mutton and mixture. Cover and cook till the mutton is tender. 
• Place in a serving dish, and decorate with toasted almonds.
